The prayer recited by the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) at the beginning of ablution

The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say the following supplication when beginning ablution:

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. O God! Forgive my sins, expand my dwelling, and bless my sustenance.”

He (peace and blessings be upon him) would then bear witness by saying: “I bear witness that there is no god but God, and I bear witness that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His servant and Messenger.

The prayer recited by the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) after performing ablution

After performing ablution, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate in the following manner:

I bear witness that there is no god but God, He is One, without any partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His servant and messenger.

O God! Make me among those who frequently repent and those who are meticulous about cleanliness.

I praise You, and I seek Your forgiveness from all shortcomings. O God! I bear witness that there is no deity besides You. I seek forgiveness from You and repent to You. May God, our Lord, send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), his family, and his companions.

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. ‘We have indeed revealed this (the Qur’an) in the Night of Power. And what will explain to you what the Night of Power is? The Night of Power is better than a thousand months. In it, the angels and the Spirit descend by the permission of their Lord for every affair. Peace it is, until the emergence of dawn.’ (Recite this three times)

O God! Forgive my sins, expand my dwelling, bless my sustenance, and do not test me with things You have not granted me.
